38 Weeks Old

Carmella is becoming more and more verbal. She can often be found playing with her toys having her own conversations, it is too cute!! Her babbling has turned into jabber and at times it even sounds like she is saying real words so we're keep an ear out all the time to catch her first word. I think it is HI but we're not to sure.

 Looking for her sign

 Awe so sweet.

Nana and Papa's Cabin

It was a great weekend to get away so we decided to pack up and head out to Nana and Papa's cabin in Long Barn, California. Carmella was a good girl on the 3.5 hour drive only need to stop once to change her blow out.

Yeah we made it!!

We were so happy to spend the weekend with Nana and Papa and we also even enjoyed some quite time relaxing.

Carmella had her first bath in the kitchen sink and she seemed to love it.

And we couldn't leave without taking a picture with Nana and Papa.

Play date with Kenna

It was a beautiful day and we had a play date planned with Kenna, so we headed over to Santa Cruz. We met up with Nancy, Dwayne and Kenna for some lunch and the girls got reacquainted since our last visit in April.

After lunch we headed back to Kenna's house where the girls rolled around on the ground and took turns screaming. It is so fun to watch them interact.

We sat the girls down to take a picture and the girls both turned to give each other a kiss, it was too sweet!

I couldn't get them to look at the camera at the same time.
Carmella would look at Kenna .....

and then Kenna would look at Carmella.

Thanks for the fun play date and I just love watching the girls grow up together.
We can't wait for next time.

37 Weeks Old

37 weeks Old!

Lately I have noticed that when strangers or even people that we know come around and say hi to Carmella that she drops her head to my shoulder and acts all shy. Eventually she will work up a smile to say hi but she is getting a little more picky about who she gives her smiles to.  She is defiantly becoming more aware of what's going on around her or when she is around a new person.

She is even taking up some Tae Kwon Do on the side, ha ha

Carmella's hair just keeps growing she has even grown a little duck tail in the back in honor of her daddy (he had one when he was little).
A big thank you to the Shaffer family for this cute Santa Cruz onsie, she finally fits in it!!

Taking our weekly pictures has gotten much more difficult now that she is becoming more mobile. And she is always finding something to distract her from smiling at the camera, such as taking off her socks.

Happy 1st Father's Day

Happy 1st Father's Day!!!
For daddy's first father's day Carmella wrote her daddy a nice love note and made him a memory book filled with lots of pictures (with the help of mommy, of course).

We started the morning off with daddy opening his presents and then we headed off to Church. After service we had a yummy lunch at a new restaurant were Carmella tried eating a lime for the first time and she seemed to enjoy it.

After an afternoon filled with loving on daddy we headed to Nana and Papa's house where we could celebrate the other dads in the Ferraro family.

Swimming in the pool

It was a HOT weekend and since we haven't had the A/C put in yet it was time for Carmella and I to get in a pool. So we headed over to Aunt Cindy's house for some cool down time.

Carmella's first time in the pool was a hit!!

Just chillin' in the pool.

She loved her new little floaty and and chewing on the floaty rings too

The only thing she was not too sure about was that she couldn't kick and splash in the water like she does in her bath tub.

We'll be seeing lots more pool time this summer.

36 Weeks Old

We have entered into the beginning phase of separation anxiety, with a twist. She is completely fine when she is playing with daddy or even playing alone but if she sees mommy walk out of the room she will whine and cry until I come back. It just isn't enough that someone is right there next to her playing.
She definitely knows her name and will let you know when she wants something or doesn't like when you take something away from her.

She can sit comfortably in a high chair and shopping cart. Yeah we no longer have to bring the car seat in the store.

I have seen her playing with toys in both hands and even picking things up with her thumb and index finger.

And yes we're still blowing raspberries! (spitting)

Grandma LuLu visits

Another fun weekend and this time Grandma Lu Lu came to visit!

We started the weekend off with a garage sale on Saturday to get rid of all the stuff we no longer needed. Grandma was there to help with the sales and also spend some time with Carmella. She even finished making Carmella's crib skirt, so cute!

The weekend was too short and before we knew it Sunday was here and grandma has to drive back to Tahoe.

Grandma, Chris and Carmella

Trying to get Carmella to look at the camera but she thinks my earrings are much more fun to pull and Grandma just laughs.

Ok now we got a good one.
Thanks for the visit grandma Lu Lu can't wait to see you again!

Teething Biscuits

My sister in law Kari turned me onto Earths Best teething biscuits and I am so glad she did. The other night we met some friend out for dinner and we gave Carmella a biscuit and it was quiet and peaceful for 20 minutes. No toys were being thrown on the ground and she wasn't crying out for our attention just mom and dad enjoying their meal and the conversation.

 Checking out the biscuit

Oh so yummy!!

And at the end of the meal I didn't really care how messy she was, we just put her in the bath when we got home and she was a MESS!!

35 Weeks Old

Now that Carmella has experienced many different foods, she has decided that she doesn't like carrots any more even though she loved them in the beginning. So far she loves fruit and gives mommy a hard time when it comes to vegetables but seems to eat them from everyone else. However, when she feeds herself puffs and other finger foods she seems to enjoy mealtime a little more, she is already exerting her independence.

And finally a picture where you can see her two teeth.

Look closely at the bottom and you will see two little white teeth buds.

8 months Old

8 Months Old!!!

8 month stats:
Size 3 Diapers (needless to say I didn't weigh her this month, but she feels heavier)

To celebrate the big day we spent some time with friends
and had dinner at Nana and Papa's house.

This last month has been my favorite, don't get me wrong I loved her infancy. But her personality is shinning through and she sits up to play but hasn't quite mastered crawling (so yah I'm loving it).

And here is what she is up to when she is not smiling, blowing raspberries (aka spitting)
