Labor Day Celebration

For the long weekend we headed up to Long Barn to spend some time with the Ferraro Family. This time Uncle Gary, Auntie Kari and the cousins, Madison, Gavin and Gigi were there too.

We spent some time at the park and you can tell by Carmella's expression that she is loving the swings.

The next day we packed a picnic and headed to Cover's Apple Ranch.

The kids walked around and fed the animals and we all took a train ride.

Offically crawling!

That's right the knees are up and we're crawling. Better get to baby proofing the house and soon!!

She has figured out that she can get around the house faster now that she is crawling and she loves her new freedom.

47 Weeks Old

 Carmella is such a chatter box and loves talking, I am not too sure where she gets that from.  She loves other kids and gets so excited to see her friends at Stroller class, church and even strangers at the grocery store. This week she has started to get up on her knees to crawl but hasn't quite mastered it, yet.

Today we had a special photo shoot so I just left her in her hula skirt for the day.

Alayna Leaves

Alayna is going away to college and we're so excited for her but we're also kind of sad. She has been Carmella's number one fan and a huge help so Chris and I can get our date nights in. So this is kind of bitter sweet.

But on a happier note, she is off to California State University, Channel Islands (SCUCI) and we couldn't be more proud of her. She is going to kick butt and live it up now that she is off to college. But before she could leave we had to spend some special time with her.

Someone LOVES chicken, no she seriously LOVES chicken.

I can't give it to her fast enough before she moves my hand to shove it in her mouth.

46 Weeks Old

This week we decided it was time to lower the crib. A few times this week I have walked into Carmella's room to find her sitting up. But the scary part is when she starts reaching for the edge of her crib to pull up.  I am so not ready for that!! So daddy lowered her crib and now we have some time, well that is until we have to lower it again... Carmella is geting to be such a big girl and she is so sweet (except when we're trying to take her picture) Oh look mommy a pretty sign I think I will take it down. She is definitely developing her independence and army crawling all around the house and getting into everything too.  Just another adventure in the life of Carmella Ferraro

45 Weeks Old

Carmella loves to talk and she is actually beginning to sound like she is saying something important.

She is loving playing games with her mommy and daddy especially peak-a-boo and chasing (crawling) after her beach ball. She really enjoys story time, especially right before bed and it seems like we can't even get through the book before she goes grabbing for it.  Since we removed her bath chair and she is sitting up in the bath it has gotten a whole lot more interesting. She definitely loves bath time and splashing and I feel like I get a rinse too, ha ha.

Crawling to a sitting position

Well I don't have a picture of it but she has figured out how to go from a crawling position to a sitting position. And I think it is one of her favorite things to do. She is scooting around the floor and then just stops, flips her legs around and she is sitting up.

Meeting Cousin Tyler

Carmella and I headed to Tahoe to meet the newest family member, Tyler. 

 Tyler is such a happy baby and he loved his snuggle time with his Auntie.

44 Weeks Old

Carmella is really beginning to understand what we are saying and even following simple instructions. But I must admit that she still ignores what we say and especially when we tell her "no"
(followed by a lovely thank you).

She has definitely been showing us her personality and at times she is a little defiant, throwing food and her sippy cup, banging objects, and kicking her feet (well she does that all the time). But she is still our little princess.

10 Months Old

10 Month old stats:

Weight: not an exact weight but definitely heavier

Height: Not sure but she sure seems taller 

Love this little girl and her BIG smile!

We have been practicing clapping for the last few weeks and just yesterday we were at mommy's workout class and at the very end Carmella was giving mommy a big smile and clapping. It made my day!

Hanging with the Kennedy's

We had some special visitors today, the Kennedy Family came by to visit.

Carmella was one happy girl to see John and Claire 

And she was very protective of John, perhaps this is her first crush?

She got some cuddle time with Auntie B too!
