51 Weeks Old

To celebrate our 5 year anniversary Chris and I headed to Carmel for a nice weekend away and Carmella got to have a sleep over with Nana. Well that is Nana came to the house to watch and play with Carmella. She was a great girl and didn't seem to miss us at all and she had some special bonding time with her Nana too.

Carmella is beginning to understand conversations that are happening around her and recognize familiar objects, like a ball or tree. I sure she will be asking questions soon, oh my.

Dancing

This week Carmella showed us her dance moves.

Please forgive the fact that she is shirtless today, I was working and she was hanging out with daddy (and I guess it was hot out?)

Lowering the Crib... Again

Look who I found standing up in her crib after her nap...

I think it's time to lower the crib again.


It's a long stretch for mommy but Carmella seems to like it!

Pulling Up

She is pulling up on the furniture and exploring the world off the ground. It all happened so fast and before I knew it she was pulling up not only on the furniture but also in her crib. Uh oh we're in trouble now!

50 Weeks Old

Carmella has discovered her Happy Birthday Bear that Nana gave her and she loves it. When you push the button the bear begins to sing happy birthday and she gets the biggest smile on her face. She loves it so much that she is even trying to sing happy birthday. Seriously, she says happy and then the words get all jumbled but if you listen you can make out that she is singing. It is so sweet especially when I catch her doing it in the car.

49 Weeks Old

Over the last few weeks Carmella has been working on some new teeth and they have finally cut through, bringing the total to 7 teeth. Her attention span is increasing and we have discovered a little Baby Einstein. Not all the time just when mommy is trying to cook dinner and she gets so excited to see all the little animals and colors. 

Thanks again for the sign mom, it's like a game to her!

11 Months Old and 48 weeks

 Carmella is 11 months old (and 48 weeks too)

Still talking all the time but this week I heard her first word and it was "MaMa" (and that makes me so excited!!)

I have noticed that she wants to play with things that aren't necessarily toys so I have been giving her Tupperware and other safe kitchen utensils. She thinks they are the coolest toys and she is entertained for 30-40 minutes and mommy loves that.
