Our Christmas Tree

We started a new tradition this year. Instead of picking our Christmas tree from the Home Depot lot we decided to go and chop one down. For the last 3 years now we have joined the other Ferraro Family (Gary and Kari) and picked out our trees together and this year the wives thought it was time to start a new tradition. So off to the woods we drove, some might say it was like a Griswold Christmas minus all the snow. We did however find the lot and set out for the best tree ever.

Gary and Kari found their tree almost immediately so I was thinking this was going to be easy but with a newborn it was a whole different story and this was definitely not a place for strollers.

The boys (Chris, Gary and Gavin) went deep into the woods looking for our tree as we waited patiently at the top of the hill (well as patiently as we could with a newborn, 1 year old and 6 year old). After 20 minutes in the chilly cold up the mountain the guys came with our tree and perfect timing because it was getting dark.
As we loaded up the tree we took a look around and I thought to myself, this is going to be a fun tradition and next time I will bring some hot chocolate to keep warm.

And I must admit that my wonderful husband picked a beautiful tree!

Carmella loves the tree, now just wait until we put all the lights and ornaments on.
